This year, i went to the National day Parade Rehearsal. The celebration was to celebrate Singapore's birthday. Singapore is fourty-two years old this year. The rehearsal was held on 7-7-07 and it was held at Marina Bay on a flaoting platform.
Since i was Primary 5 this year, i could go to the show because every Primary 5 students had a chance to watch the NE Show " live ". The events which excited me were the jet planes. The noise that they made when they flew past me were so loud that i had to cover my ears. It was like an earthquake! During the celebrations, the important guests came. Mr Lee Hsien Long, Mr S.R Nathan, Mr Lee Kuan Yew and many other important people. Then, there were people jumping from planes using a parachute. We sang the National Anthem and said the Pledge. At the end, there were fireworks. It was very nice, but also very loud. After the show, i felt very proud to be a Singaporean because we have other races and religions that other countrys doesn't have. We also have our own holidays, such as Total Defence Day, Racial Harmony Day and National Day. posted by Vivian at Wednesday, September 12, 2007
